Kitara Civil Society Organizations’ Network (KCSON) is a legally registered network Organization operating in Bunyoro and Rwenzori sub-regions. It started in 2003 and in conformity with NGO Act 2016, is incorporated with Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) under incorporation number 80010002850905 and registered as an NGO with National Bureau for NGOs under current permit Number INDP4263229NB and certificate number INDR4597229NB, operating in Mid-Albertine region of Uganda (Bunyoro and Rwenzori sub-regions). It is also registered with Financial Intelligence Authority (FIA) under number FIA-14000132 and with Uganda Revenue Authority under TIN 1000621229.
KCSON has a governance structure composed of the General Assembly as a supreme decision-making body, the Board elected on a three year term basis that oversees the secretariat and implements decisions of the general assembly and lastly the secretariat that takes charge of day to day activities
KCSON has built a wealth of experience in governance, coordination of development actors, empowerment of vulnerable groups and peace building.
In terms of membership, KCSON currently has 87 members, both CBOs and NGOs spread across the Districts of Kagadi, Kibaale, Kakumiro, Kikuube and Hoima.

- Advocacy for better service delivery
- Capacity building of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs)
- Empowerment of vulnerable groups and peace building
