KCSON Annual Report 2023

Overview

In 2023, KCSON achieved major milestones in networking, partnerships, CSO capacity building, and advocacy for better social services. We held the 2022 AGM in April 2023 with over 50 members, where we reviewed and approved the 2023 work plan. The year also marked KCSON’s 20th anniversary and the launch of our 2023–2027 strategic plan. We continued supporting members through training, funding linkages, and personalized engagement.

KCSON Annual Report 2022

Overview

In 2022, post-COVID effects persisted, and CSOs, including KCSON, faced dwindling resources and inflation above 10%, with fuel prices exceeding UGX 10,000. Despite high costs affecting operations, KCSON stayed resilient, using visionary leadership and technology to maintain services and register progress.

KCSON Annual Report 2021

Overview

The year 2021 came with unprecedented challenges, ranging from suspension of many CSOs by the Na tional NGO bureau and the COVID-19 pandemic with its associated negative effects, we are delighted to report to you that despite these challenges, KCSON was undeterred on its pursuit for advocacy for better service delivery, an empowered civil society ready to deliver on its mandate and empowerment of vulnerable populations.

KCSON Annual Report 2020

Overview

The year 2020 saw KCSON achieve in form of; enhanced internal governance; increased advocacy for effective service delivery especially in the primary sectors of Education, health, environment and Agriculture (production); improved linkages and coordination for effective service provision especially to the vulnerable categories of people; and supporting the COVID 19 response. The end of 2020 coincided with the successful closure of 3 of its projects.

KCSON Annual Report 2019

Overview

In 2019, KCSON operated in Kagadi, Kibaale, Kakumiro, Hoima, Kyenjojo, Masindi, Buliisa, Kikuube, and Ibanda, reaching over 400 CSOs and community groups through its locally and nationally recognized convening power. We closed the year optimistic about the future, mindful that the journey ahead will have both merits and challenges.

The productivity of KCSON which is presented in this report was inform of efficient and effective service delivery and institutional capacity building.
