KCSON recently celebrated two decades of dedicated service and advocacy in the Kitara region. Over the years, the network has championed women’s emancipation, youth empowerment, and support for vulnerable groups. Looking ahead, KCSON plans to expand its reach to refugee communities while strengthening capacity building in governance and resource management. The milestone event highlighted the vital partnership between civil society and government in driving sustainable development.

She highlighted the board’s achievements and announced the finalization of KCSON’s 2023-2027 Strategic Plan, which will be launched during the upcoming 20th anniversary celebration.

After eviction of communities from Kagombe Central Forest Reserve in western Uganda by the National Forestry Authority of Uganda, many people were left homeless and with no income to support them access the basic needs and also support their children acquire at least basic education
